All our motorcycles come with full comprehensive insurance cover throughout New Zealand's two main Islands (The North Island and the South Island) with an excess of up to $3500 which is covered by your Insurance Excess Bond. You are not permitted to take the Motorcycle to any offshore Islands.

While it is included free for all hires we do offer an excess reduction where you pay a daily fee to lower or eliminate what you would be required to pay if you were to have an accident or loss.

Insurance Excess Bond
A bond from $2500 to $3,500 required to be authorised before your motorcycle is released to you on the day of hire. This can be done by a pre authorised credit card or by cash before beginning your hire. Please ensure sufficient funds are available on your credit card for the bond pre-authorisation hold at the commencement of your hire. After the bond hold pre-authorisation is cancelled it may take up to 3-5 working days for funds to be available again depending on your bank.
Note: that riders under the age of 25 are subject to a higher Insurance excess. Please contact us for details.

Third party liability insurance is also provided in case damage is caused by The Hirer to other persons or property as a result of using the vehicle, this is limited to $20,000,000.

Personal Insurance
Our full comprehensive motorcycle insurance only covers damage or loss to the bike and not to you or your personal items or injury or loss. We recommend that you take out personal insurance to cover illness, loss of earnings, loss or damage to personal belongings etc.
